International joint conference of APLX, ETA34, and TESPA 2025

APLX 2025
The 2025 Taipei Tech International Conference on Applied Linguistics (APLX 2025) is a biennial conference hosted by Taipei Tech Department of English and has attracted linguists from around the world since 2008. This year, we continue this tradition, hoping to attract a greater number of international researchers and encourage productive exchanges and fruitful interactions among participants.

ETA 34th International Symposium on English Teaching and Learning
English Teachers’ Association-Republic of China (ETA-ROC) was founded in May 31, 1992. Its mission is to promote English language teaching and learning, and ETA has held an international symposium and book exhibition since its establishment back in 1971. Over the past years, renowned linguists and ESL/EFL scholars from all over the world have been invited to gather in Taipei, shedding new lights, and sharing views on the diverse areas of teaching and learning of English as a second or foreign languages. Each symposium attracts at least 1,500 teaching professionals of all levels to participate and 50 publishers to display their ELT books as well as software in this important event.

TESPA
TESPA (the Taiwan ESP Association), founded in 2008, aims to create a strong network among teachers, lecturers and professionals and promote ESP education in Taiwan. More information about TESPA is available on the TESPA website.
Taipei Tech
Taipei Tech (National Taipei University of Technology) was founded in 1911 and is one of the oldest universities in Taiwan. Taipei Tech's campus is conveniently located in the center of Taipei, at the intersection of two MRT lines (Zhongxiao Xinsheng station). An English campus map is available here. The English department is housed in the General Studies Building.
